Summer Appointment Tips

Below are some considerations for getting the most from your summer appointment.

<N>When the heat of summer begins to hit, there are some unique efforts and opportunities that are presented when preparing for listing photos.

Lawn Maintenance

Summer means lawn maintenance. Making sure that the lawn and landscaping are trimmed, neat, and healthy can go a long way towards making a home appear inviting and well taken care of.

When preparing for your appointment, do not cut your lawn closer to the appointment than two days before. This will give the grass time to bounce back from the cutting, and it will allow time for the clippings and clumps (if not being bagged or mulched) to disperse.

Staging

The warm weather and long days that come with summer tend to draw more people outside. With this in mind, summer is a great time to consider outdoor staging for your listing photos.

Taking the time to place a few outdoor pillows, some relaxing lighting, and maybe a potted plant or two on your deck or patio can really make an outdoor area feel like an extension of the living space. Indoor-outdoor living is as popular as it’s ever been, so showing that it’s possible at your listing will certainly attract more buyers.
