Bathrooms In Listing Photography
How do you prepare a bathroom for real estate photography?
Getting a bathroom photo-ready is not a difficult prospect for sellers to accomplish. Follow the steps below, and then check out our pre-appointment prep guide for step-by-step instructions for every space in the home.
Clean & Declutter
It is obviously important for the bathroom to be as clean as possible. Make sure that all countertops, mirrors, floors, and tile are thoroughly cleaned. Make sure that any residue from cleaners is wiped away. If the shower has a glass front or is custom, then it should be thoroughly scrubbed (to include cleaning grout) as it will likely be photographed.
Declutter the space by minimizing or eliminating decorations. The space should feel as bright and spacious as possible. Remove all items from the countertop (though, hand soap in a clean dispenser is fine to leave). Clear away any cleaning tools or supplies like squeegees, plungers, toilet brushes, etc.
On The Day
On the day of your appointment, make sure that all overhead lights are on, and that any window coverings/blinds are either halfway or fully open (to match the rest of the home).
If the shower is tiled or custom, leave the curtain open. Otherwise the shower curtain should remain closed.
